If this situation sounds familiar to you, you’re not alone. Back pain is very common for truck drivers. According to a one study with 410 truck drivers, 59% had lower back pain. It can cause persistent aches in your lower back, shoulders or neck, or stiff lumbar muscles that make it hard to move. The good news is that there are several things you can do to soothe your back and prevent future problems. We partnered with a local chiropractor and he shared with some great tips on how to help your back pain through exercises.
Upper Body
Neck Trapezius Stretch - Hold each stretch 10 seconds, 10 repetitions per side, 2x per day
Mid Back Stretch - Hold each stretch 10 seconds, 10 repetitions per side, 2x per day
Lower body
Hamstring stretch - 10 repetitions, holding 10 seconds, 2x per day
Quadriceps stretch - 10 repetitions, holding 10 seconds, 2x per day
Sacral Stretch - 10 repetitions, holding 10 seconds, 2x per day
Piriformis Stretch - 10 repetitions, holding 10 seconds, 2x per day
